NEW FROM MANUMESURE: Air quality measurement in the workplace

Every employer is obliged to guarantee the health and safety of their employees. For this, regulatory testing of Occupational Exposure Limit values (OELs) helps to measure employees' exposure to dangerous chemical agents and CMR substances in their working environment.

The French regulations define a number of minimum preventive actions intended to eliminate or reduce employees' exposure to chemical agents through inhalation during their working day. The French Labour Code defines OELs corresponding to levels of pollutant concentration in the workplace which must not be exceeded during a predetermined period of reference: short-term and long-term (short-term OEL (15min) and long-term OEL (8 hours)).

The limit values are expressed in mg/m3 and may be linked to exposure to dust, gas or aerosols.

The regulatory OEL measurements are governed by the degree dated 15/12/2009 and are performed directly on the operators.

Measurements can also be performed at fixed positions to define the areas with the highest pollutant exposure.

Continuing its development, Manumesure is in the process of achieving COFRAC –LAB REF 27 accreditation.
